Recognitions were handed out to outstanding IESA students
The 2013 Awards for Academic Excellency were handed out to the four most outstanding students in their respective Master's during the academic period, last Friday November 1st in the institution's Sánchez salon.
The three organizations that this year granted the recognitions were PricewaterhouseCoopers, represented by Jeanniel Ferreira, the National Investments Promotion Council (Conapri) represented by Litzay Guerrero and the Kraft Foods-Mondelez corporation.
Professor Ernesto Blanco, the general coordinator of postgraduate studies and coordinator of the Center for Management and Leadership, offered a few words of advice to the students: “The quest for excellency is not necessarily the quest for perfection, but it is giving your best efforts, striving for what is the best for you, for the organizations you work in and for the nation. I wish to thank these three companies for aiding us in granting these awards to the students who have had an outstanding performance during their stay at IESA. I know it is not easy nowadays, but we must continually strive for excellence, and the secret to achieve it is work, work and more work. I congratulate all the students who accompany us, not only those who are being recognized but all, because you are all champions”, he stated.
The recognition to the best Master's in Finance student was handed out by Professor Urbi Garay of IESA's Finance Center to Alfredo Terrero. Rodolfo Renwick was the student of the year in the Master's in Public Management, and received a plaque from the hands of Professor Josefina Bruni Celli, the coordinator of the Center for Public Policies, and the plaque to outstanding Master's in Marketing student was presented by Jorge Ménendez, director of innovation and marketing and professor of the marketing center to student Franca Messina.
