IESA held the tenth place in the ranking of the AméricaEconomía magazine
In a fierce competition with 44 other schools in the region, IESA ranked again in tenth place. The MBA Ranking measures the quality of the academic offer of management schools in Latin America, based on the following dimensions: academic strength (37.5%), according to the quantity and quality of its teachers; Network power (25%), according to the network of contacts that each school weaves and is reflected in the business trajectories of its 50 most successful recent graduates; Internationalization (20%), in accordance with double degree agreements, accreditations, memberships and venues abroad; And knowledge production (17.5%), referring to the triennial production of articles in recognized journals (Thomson Reuters base), books, book chapters and cases.
In addition to the overall ranking, IESA ranked in three sub rankings: “Finance” (position 8), “Entrepreneurship and Innovation” (position 9) and “Human Resources and Organizational Development” (position 9). These sub rankings are constructed taking into account the quantity and quality of the training of full-time specialist faculty (75%), the number of articles published annually in refereed journals of the specialty (20%) and the productivity of that set of specialized faculty measured by the number of articles per full-time teacher (5%). Other sub rankings included in the evaluation are: Economy, Strategy and Ethics, Marketing and Operations.
For the authorities, professors and collaborators of IESA, it is a source of pride to share this news with our graduates, students, sponsors, clients and the public in general. In times as difficult as those in Venezuela, we are pleased to leave the name of our country high and fulfill the commitment to form leaders responsible for the welfare and progress of society.
